27 years not out! Nutley was opened on 12th March 1984 by Lynwen and Jeremy with just two clients! Alun became full time at the home having graduated in 1995. Nutley is the only private Care Home in the area which has not changed ownership.
The Nutley Lodge email facility has also been a success for clients and their families to contact each other, particularly those overseas who wish to send photos and special messages. We are pleased to pass on messages and replies on behalf of our clients as part of our service.
We recently handed out questionnaires to three groups; clients/nok, staff, and visiting professionals. Each is designed differently and there was a good response so we can monitor our performance as others see us and where necessary make improvements. (Spring 2011)
We often ask the service users/clients their opinions of the day to day matters that affect them. Currently we are reviewing the menus and taking soundings on the main hallway floor covering. (May/June 2011)
